Ken ArciaHello ALDAns and Happy Spring!

Tina and I have been very busy as Planning Co-Chairs for ALDAcon 2022. We have been working with Carrie and Lisa, the Program Co-Chairs, in acquiring our two speakers. We are in the process of finalizing details and then will make an announcement. We also have been working with various other ALDAcon committees. If you would like to help, please contact us at  We appreciate all the help we can get! I also want to encourage you to take advantage of the Early Bird rate for ALDAcon registration before it ends on June 30th. As you may know, this year ALDAcon will be in sunny San Diego! I hope you can join us.

Related to committees, I am happy to announce that Cynthia Moynihan has accepted the position of Membership Chair. She was instrumental in creating that committee a few years ago so I am glad she is helping with that.

In this issue, we have our usual articles related to Advocacy, Health, “One of Us”, our Communications Committee, an RD 1 report, and other hearing loss-related articles from our talented writers. I want to thank them for their contributions.

Enjoy this issue of ALDA News.
