On September 25, 2019, the FCC’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) released a Public Notice inviting public comment on VTCSecure’s request for a limited waiver of certain of the FCC’s telecommunications relay service (TRS) rules that VTCSecure states are inapplicable when Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Services (IP CTS) calls are processed using automatic speech recognition technology without the presence of a communication assistant.
Interested parties may file comments by accessing the Electronic Comment Filing System at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings. All filings must reference CG Docket No. 03-123.
