The Association of Late Deafened Adults (ALDA) was established to provide a stress-free communication environment for individuals with hearing loss. ALDA’s communication philosophy is “Whatever Works!” – sign language, lip reading, cochlear implants, hearing aids, written notes or gestural communication.  All modes are welcome and accommodated by ALDA. ALDA reaches out to deafened adults, regardless of age of onset, who are seeking their place as people with hearing loss. ALDA offers the opportunity to interact in a comfortable, receptive environment, through small group meetings and/ or our annual international convention- ALDAcon! If you renew or join us, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll always know what’s going on and never hear “never mind.”
