ALDA Links & Resources

John Donne once wrote, “No man is an island,” meaning that nobody exists all alone. Rather, we are all connected, and what happens to one of us affects the broader community around us.

This is especially true for a person who is dealing with hearing loss or those who become deaf later in life, late-deafened.  This affects not only the person dealing with the issues, but hearing family members, relatives, friends, co-workers, in addition to regular contacts at the grocery store, doctor office and other organizations and affiliations that serve the general public.

Success in dealing with hearing loss and those who become deaf, or the late-deafened, challenges can be found through the Association of Late-Deafened Adults, ALDA, Inc, #ALDAROCKS!.  In addition, ALDA has provided some additional tools here for consideration in helping the entire village, hearing and hearing loss alike, assist in the person dealing with hearing loss or late-deafened, to remain engaged or become a competent and contributing member of society.  Connect with Association of Late-Deafened Adults here on this website and find your fellow ALDA members and/or a Group or Chapter to make a difference today.
